The Southland Region Quarterly Review is produced by Statistics New Zealand and assembles the latest available information on the region and territorial local authorities.

In some cases, for a variety of reasons, data may not relate directly to the Southland regional or territorial authority. For example, the Consumers Price Index is collected for urban areas only and Overseas Cargo Statistics are collected by port only. While these statistics are indicators of regional trends, they do not relate specifically to a single regional council or territorial authority.

The Quarterly Regional Reviews are published approximately two months after the end of each quarter and are available for free download on the Statistics NZ website:
