Venture Southland and the Southland District Council, in Partnership with Industry New Zealand and the Ministry of Economic Development have for some time been actively encouraging the establishment Broadband and High speed Communications to all consumers within the province. Particular focus has been given to methods of providing services to the fringe of the network (end of line consumers) and ways in which viable services can be provided and barriers to service provision can be overcome.
